Hi everyone,

I'm Daniel Martinez, and I'm thrilled to welcome you to this year-long photography course! As your instructor, I'm excited to help you develop your technical skills and unique creative vision.

I'm a photographer and teaching artist from the Bronx, New York, and my passion for photography began right here at NYC Salt as a student. This experience shaped my approach to visual storytelling, which I've used in my personal documentary work and my professional wedding photography business, www.candidly.nyc - My experience has taught me the importance of being in the right place at the right time to capture genuine, meaningful moments.

Over the next year, we'll cover everything from mastering manual camera settings and editing to building a professional portfolio and website. We'll also work on real-world projects and collaborate on community events to prepare you for both personal artistic expression and professional practice.
