Miren garbiñe de diego osinaga

Communications & Social Media Intern

If creativity were to take a name, it might well be Garbiñe (btw meaning “pure” in Basque)

Originally from the Basque Country, she holds a double degree in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism from the University of the Basque Country (Spain), a foundation that informs both her visual language and her narrative precision.

Her most notable photographic work, “Cicatrices del agua” (Scars of Water) earned her highest honors upon graduation. The project documents the devastating floods that struck Valencia in October 2025.

Garbi moves fluidly between documentary rigor and artistic exploration. Her work is defined by a critical gaze paired with a strong aesthetic sensibility, allowing her to navigate the space where journalism and visual art converge.

Beyond photography, she is deeply engaged with sport and social media. Through her Instagram @xulifotos, she shares her projects that are a mix of humor and educational content.

At NYC Salt, her presence brings a distinct sense of clarity and renewal, an observant eye attuned to both detail and story.
