Jewelle Trotman

Communications & Marketing Fellow

Jewelle Trotman is a passionate marketing and copywriting professional dedicated to empowering people on their journeys of self-discovery and self-care. Her mission is to create welcoming spaces that inspire authentic connection and nourish the human spirit.

She is part of the FLIA (Future Leaders in Action Foundation) Fellowship Program, Jewelle joined NYC Salt to collaborate on marketing and communications, bringing her expertise to support the organization’s outreach and engagement efforts.

She specializes in digital marketing and social media, with extensive experience creating content across multiple platforms. She previously served as Marketing Manager at Foodie Card, a startup focused on helping restaurant-goers save money while supporting people in need. In this role, she managed social media accounts and developed content for online and offline promotions.

As a Junior Copywriter at Direct Wines Inc., Jewelle honed her skills producing content for Instagram, Facebook, email, product pages, SMS campaigns, and monthly print catalogs. She adapted to various brand voices and audiences for clients, including WSJ Wine, Laithwaites, and the NPR Wine Club, while collaborating on partnerships with Delta Air Lines, AARP, and more.

Jewelle holds a B.S. in Advertising and Marketing Communications from FIT, with a double minor in English and Psychology. During her time at FIT, she completed paid internships across entertainment, music, education, and home goods, served as Web Creative Director for Blush Magazine, launched the column “Cheap Eat of the Week,” and worked as a Peer Writing Consultant.

Outside of work, Jewelle enjoys discovering new restaurants, going to the movies, visiting art museums, and spending time with her dog. She thrives on connecting with people and embracing new experiences, bringing her energetic, enthusiastic personality (ENFP) to everything she does.
